But he and wife Danielle don’t mind Alena’s crazy schedule. “She rules it!” says Danielle, 27.

Their favorite time of day? Post-nap, around 2 p.m. “Right when she wakes up, she’s in a really good mood,” Kevin says. “She’s very active and expressive. She takes a lot after me!”

In fact, Kevin says he wouldn’t mind if Alena actually followed in his footsteps.

“If she told me she wanted to be in the music industry or the entertainment business one day, I would help her fulfill her dreams, but only if they were her dreams and not mine. I’d tell her the good and the bad, but I would never push her.”

Although Kevin works from their New Jersey home “on a few different startups in the tech world,” the couple — whose reality show Married to Jonas is on hiatus — doesn’t get to spend much time together.That’s a conversation for later. For now, he and Danielle are just trying to manage their new life as parents.

“I try to get Dani’s attention, but I’m number two!” Kevin says. But he and Danielle hope to change that. “We’re trying to schedule one time a week, even if it’s just lunch, to talk one-on-one about how each of us are doing.”

In the meantime, he says, it’s the typical new-parent juggling act. “At any moment, we’re either trying to get something accomplished or checked off our list. But it’s worth it. We have an amazing daughter.”

Kevin Jonas has been enjoying a new role in his life: fatherhood. And when he and wife Danielle welcomed their baby girl, Alena, in February, they weren’t shy about sharing candid pictures of their bundle of joy with fans.

“We knew all along that we wanted to share photos,” Kevin Jonas, 26, tells Parade.com. ”We wanted to be the ones to do it. We didn’t want other people to end up leaking a photo of our daughter before us; we wanted to be the ones in control.”

“A lot of people are protective and they don’t share photos of their children at all, and I totally respect that,” he continued. “I actually kind of got upset the other day when somebody took a picture of Alena and posted it without my consent, so to be able to be in charge is really important, but we also want to share these special moments with everyone.”

The duo, who partnered with Dreft to help launch the “Amazing Baby Days” app, talked to Parade.com about their first few months as parents and Kevin’s upcoming tour with his brother Joe.

What has it been like to share photos of Alena with your fans?
Danielle: “We’ve loved how loving, supportive, and concerned they’ve been. They’re very involved. It’s really nice.”
Kevin: “This is a massive time in our lives and we’ve always been very public about everything. We wanted to share it with our fans because we are so proud and excited.”

How has parenthood changed your relationship?

Danielle: “I feel like everything that’s gone on in our lives so far has brought us closer than we ever could have thought, but this is just really different. We’re a team and we’re talking about things like when she gets older and how we want to deal with certain things.”
Kevin: “We’re working together in a different way. Now we have a different kind of bond and we have something that really represents our relationship — it’s more than just the rings on our finger. We created this beautiful life together.”

Danielle, tell us a little about Alena’s nursery.
“When we got married, our bedroom was designed by Kate McIntyre and she became a close friend of ours, and I wanted so badly for her to do our nursery, especially the crib. We talked about it a little bit and all I said to her was I would love to have the little bluebirds from Snow White and she went with that and made a beautiful crib. Once I knew we were having a girl I decided that I didn’t want the nursery to be pink because I knew she was going to be dressed in pink and all that stuff. I love pink, but I wanted something different for her nursery, so we went with a lavender instead and it just came out really soft and pretty and there are birds every where. I love it!”

How have your families reacted to the newest family member?
Danielle: “They’re all very excited and very involved. Kevin’s parents are far away and they’re always asking for us to send pictures and his mom always sends little things for her and my mom’s been here trying to help out.”
Kevin: ”It’s been crazy to see the difference in reactions from everyone in the family. It’s been really great and the more she grows older, the more time everyone will spend to her. There’s a lot to look forward to.”

Kevin, you’re about to hit the road with your brother Joe for a live interactive show. What can fans expect?

“Yeah, we just announced this speaking tour that we’re going on called “Kevin and Joe Jonas Off the Record,” and it’s going to be a three-show run of us talking with fans about different topics in fun, interactive ways. We’ll be sharing stories and anecdotes that they’ve never heard before along with photos and videos. It’s going to be really great.”

You all announced your split as a band last year. Will that topic be off limits during the show?
“No, nothing is really off limits for us. We’ve been open about it. We really chose to continue to be a family more than a band at this time, and I think we needed this break. We needed to work on our individual goals and journeys. I’m on one right now with my amazing wife and beautiful new daughter, and I’m in the happiest place that I’ve ever been.”

Aquí os dejo la entrevista que han hecho Kevin y Danielle sobre el babé Jonas. De todas formas, os hago un resumen en español.

Ya tienen más o menos decidido el nombre del bebé. Dicen que ha sido complicado buscar un nombre ya que el apellido Jonas es complicado y pocos nombres quedan bien.

Están muy emocionados. Van a pintar las paredes de la habitación de color púrpura y dicen que les gustaría ampliar la familia a 3-4 hijos.

Danielle and Kevin Jonas said the name of their baby girl "just kind of came to us."

Kevin, 26, who's expecting his first child any day now, admits to ABC News that "Jonas is a weird last name, not that many things go with it."

The singer, who announced the pregnancy in July, added that that the name he and his wife chose "rolls off the tongue."

That's about as much as the "Married to Jonas" stars will say right now regarding the name.

"We are trying to keep that a secret because everyone knows we are having a girl, but right when she's born, we are going to tell everyone," Danielle said. "It's different enough, but not too crazy."

Danielle added that the baby's middle name has special meaning to her in particular.

The couple, who married in 2009, spoke to ABC as part of a promotion they are doing with Dreft's new app "Amazing Baby Days," which Kevin said helps him stockpile all the photos of Danielle's pregnancy to make a digital booklet to share down the road.

The couple may have the first and middle names all picked out, but the nursery is a work in progress.

"I am building us a house and we are about two and half weeks away from moving in," Kevin said. "The nursery will be here at the end of next week. The walls are painted. The floors will be stained this weekend, you could move furniture and you could live there, it's fine."

Danielle added that they painted the walls purple because "there's already so much pink for girls everywhere."

Kevin, who along with his brothers announced the split of their band the Jonas Brothers in October, said he's excited that "everything we do now will be different," after the baby's born.

"Going to a restaurant which we've gone to a million times will be different, getting in the car will be different," he added.

But he admits there's going to be tough times too.

"There are going to be times where that baby is not going to stop crying and I'm not going to know what to do, and nothing we are going to do is going to work," he said. "But we are going to get through it and it's going to be great. We are not even going to remember it the minutes she starts to smile."

The couple has also decided not to take any classes prior to the baby's arrival, so that everything that happens will be fresh and new.

"I think you just learn by experience, trial and error," Danielle said.

As for more kids after this one, Kevin said "we definitely want a larger family" and that because he spent his life around his brothers, "I actually wanted girls."

"I said four, but maybe after this one, three," Danielle joked. "It's tough."

Danielle, who had to be on an IV drip early in the pregnancy, added that this experience was tough at first, "then it got really easy. Now, the past couple of days, it's like I'm done, this baby has to come out soon."
